Virginia Simmons Tillett Endowed Scholarship

This fund shall provide scholarships for qualified students as defined in the selection criteria listed below. Recipient shall be a student in good standing at Elizabeth City State University. Recipient must be a full-time student. Recipient shall be an Education major. Recipient shall maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. The scholarship is renewable through graduation provided the criteria are met. Recipient shall demonstrate a minimum of 10 hours of community service and civic engagement through involvement with such initiatives as confirmed through the Division of Student Affairs. Recipient shall demonstrate financial need as determined by the ECSU Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. Faculty from the School of Education or appropriate academic unit shall assist in the selection of the recipient as deemed appropriate by the ECSU Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.
