Mary E Powell Scholarship

This scholarship shall provide undergraduate scholarships for full-time students as follows: Elementary education majors. First preference shall be for residents of the following areas: Virginia Counties: James City, York, Isle of Wight, Gloucester or Mathews; Virginia Cities: Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Newport News, Hampton, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Williamsburg or Poquoson: North Carolina Counties: Currituck or Gates. Second preference shall be for residents of the state of Virginia. Recipients shall have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better. This scholarship shall be limited to a single student demonstrating financial need until such time as the fund can support additional awards.
