Dr. Irene Graham Van Travis Endowed Scholarship

This fund shall provide annual scholarships for qualified students as defined below. First preference given to Special Education Majors (or its successor should the name change.) Preference shall be given to students from the following counties in Southeastern North Carolina: New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick, Columbus, Braden, Robeson, Onslow, Duplin and Sampson. If there are no Special Education majors, the awards shall go to any of the Education majors. If there are no Special Education or other Education majors from the listed counties, recipients shall be residents of North Carolina. Student(s) must be full time status to receive this award. Recipients(s) shall be in good academic standing as defined by ECSU. The value of this award shall not exceed the equivalent cost of that academic year’s tuition and fees. A student who is a recipient on year is eligible for consideration in any other year provided they continue to meet the selection criteria as described above.
