ECSU Wachovia Pharmacy Program Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students that meet the following criteria: Applicant must be incoming ECSU Freshmen interested in working towards admission into the UNC Chapel Hill/ECSU Doctor of Pharmacy Partnership Program. Any student academic deviation from the pre-pharmacy requirements could result in revocation of the scholarship award. Ideal applicant would have participated in the Wachovia Pharmacy Fellows Summer Program. Ideal applicant has completed 80 or more documented hours of pharmacy internship work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Scholarship applicants must have a cumulative high school or equivalent GPA of at least 3.0 or above. Undergraduate award recipient should maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, maintain the required relationship with their assigned pre-pharmacy academic advisor, and avoid academic deviation from the pre-pharmacy requirements to maintain their award each semester. When applicable, PharmD students must maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.0. Preference will be given to students from the 21-County ECSU service area. All applicants must apply, be admitted, or enrolled full-time at ECSU to be eligible. The post graduate service award requires that applicants be prior scholarship recipients, registered pharmacists in NC and provide a signed letter from a pharmacist employer in the 21 -county area.
