Norman Buster Murphy and Georgianna Treadwell Murphy Scholarship

This scholarship provides two $500 scholarships per year to students that meet the following criteria: One each shall be a North Carolina resident from Bladen and Sampson County. First preference, African American as allowed by law, Native American, as allowed by law, a minimum GPA of 3.0, recipients shall demonstrate financial need. Pre-majors or majors in the Department of Business, Music, English, and/or Science, Qualified applicants may be recipients of other scholarships. Awarded funds may be used for tuition/and or other costs exceeding tuition necessary for the student to attend the University. If no applicants meet the criteria during a given year, funds will be held until the following year or until an acceptable applicant qualifies.
