Moses Grandy Scholarship
This fund shall provide scholarships for qualified students as defined in the selection criteria listed below: • Recipient shall be a student in good standing at Elizabeth City State University. • Recipient must be a full-time student, enrolled in the minimum required hours for full-time status. • Recipient shall be a resident of North Carolina from a tier 1 county within the 21-county region which ECSU serves. • Recipient must be a first-generation college student. • Recipient shall maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. The scholarship may be renewable through graduation provided the criteria are met. • Recipient shall demonstrate financial need as determined by the ECSU Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. • Recipient shall have a record of participation in social justice activities supporting underserved or socioeconomically disadvantaged communities. • In the event the above criteria cannot be met, a member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), a collaborative umbrella council composed of historically African American fraternities and sororities majoring in criminal justice shall be awarded.
