Robert L. Vaughan Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students based on the following criteria: First preference shall be residents of the Tidewater region of Virginia and/or the state of North Carolina. Recipients shall demonstrate good academic standing by maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or the minimum required by the University and/or Athletics Department, whichever is higher. The student must be majoring in Physical Education. The recipient shall demonstrate a financial need. This scholarship shall be limited to a single student demonstrating financial need. The value of this award shall not exceed the equivalent cost of the academic year’s tuition and fees. Students must be full time. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year provided they continue to meet the selectin criteria. This endowment shall provide undergraduate scholarships for qualified student athletes participating in men or women’s intercollegiate team sports. Recipients shall demonstrate acceptable academic promise and shall have a record of good citizenship. Recipients shall be determined by the appropriate officials in the ECSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and confirmed by the ECSU Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.
