Moses Grandy Scholarship

This fund shall provide scholarships for qualified students as defined in the selection criteria listed below: Recipient shall be a student in good standing at Elizabeth City State University. Recipient must be a full-time student, enrolled in the minimum required hours for full-time status. Recipient shall be a resident of North Carolina from a tier 1 county within the 21-county region which ECSU serves. Recipient must be a first-generation college student. Recipient shall maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. The scholarship may be renewable through graduation provided the criteria are met. Recipient shall demonstrate financial need as determined by the ECSU Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.Recipient shall have a record of participation in social justice activities supporting underserved or socioeconomically disadvantaged communities. In the event the above criteria cannot be met, a member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), a collaborative umbrella council composed of historically African American fraternities and sororities majoring in criminal justice shall be awarded.
